William Mitchell College of Law is an independent and private law school that is located in St. Paul, Minnesota. William Mitchell College of Law has its history dating back to 1900, when the St. Paul College of Law was founded. However, the William Mitchell College of Law was the result of the merger of several law schools, notably St. Paul College of Law and the Minneapolis-Minnesota College of Law, which would occur in July of 1956.

William Mitchell College is ranked in the top 100 law schools of the nation, with its part time program ranking in at 59th. Enrollment is about 1000 students, with just under fifty full time faculty members. The class size is divided down the middle, with the 50% being women and 50% being men.
